Synopsis: The story takes place in Shanghai in the 1920s when military conflicts frequently occur. Young boy Shen Qi Nan’s family experiences a terrible tragedy. His father is killed after unwittingly gets involved in a smuggling case. His mother died in her escape. He and his four siblings escaped to Shanghai but they were forced to seperate. Years later, Shen Qi Nan overcomes despair and becomes a famous architect. He works hard, hoping to build affordable homes with better living conditions in areas destroyed after the war. He meets Fu Hanjun, a young female architect who will help him along the way.
