3. The three year date sounds like much is connected.

   I suspect that the Empress fell ill and Du Xixu and his miracle medicine was used to save her. Du Xixu and Hu Ji’s Father were killed. Probably when Du Xixu was attempting to flee. Why was Li Bing’s family targeted? The Father probably knew or did something and it was felt that the son knew about it, too. So the assassins were sent. But clearly he didn’t know or realize the importance of what he did know. I wonder if restoring vitality is the only thing that the medicine does. Could it be mind switching or mind control? That would be a reason to rub out witnesses.
