Welcome to Samdalri (2023) Episode 16

117 Comments to “Welcome to Samdalri (2023) Episode 16

  1. it is by far best drama after hometown cha cha cha, twinkling watermelon and i will recommend every one to watch this.
i also liked that they didn’t focus much on that girl who misused and put allegations, i don’t remember the name and all other cast member got closure. i was smiling watching the whole episode and it also teaches many things. one should definitely watch the drama.

  2. A top and a wholesome drama. Loved it from the first to the very last. Each and every cast did an excellent job in portraying their role, they didn’t miss even a small detail. Enjoyed this drama thoroughly. I didn’t want it to end but I guess it’s time to say goodbye to the Samdal-ri village and it’s people.
I’d love to visit South Korea sometime in the future and visit Jeju Island.

  3. The plot twist with Man Su had my jaw hit the floor LOL. Did NOT see that coming.

This drama is such a gem. So many unexpected lessons I’d gained from it – or rather, they served as reminders. The communication is a huge one for me, as I tend to bottle up my pain and suffering, but this drama shows it causes more harm than not.

If we don’t say what we feel, there is no way for others to every truly knowing how we are and leads to terrible misunderstandings, in this case of Yong Pil’s dad regarding their immense grief.

Other than this, I have to commend the major theme of embracing failure and not giving up, that age shouldn’t be a barrier to pursue your dreams. “They’re not even 40 yet, what’s stopping them from trying?” Unexpectedly, it was something I needed in the current stage of my life. Learning to lean on others, and trusting that there are people who will support you even if you fall. The real ones won’t abandon you at your lowest, and will always be ready to welcome you home.

The ending sentiment hits hard as it primarily reflected SamDal’s character through the drama. I relate to her desperation to succeed and move where the grass is greener, but her hometown and the people she was with had been precious to begin with, but hadn’t realised until she returned. Her appreciation towards them all was depicted for the first time when they were all sitting together in the living room and eating the fruit in ep15. I really loved that scene.

It was worthy to reflect on before it’s too late, as well as the insane green flags in the relationships depicted. The portrayal of loving another silently, supporting their dreams, being a cheerleader, protecting them, expressing their intentions openly, and being so heavily present, makes me believe that love is indeed real. It really got to me.

It’s been a while since I commented like this about a contemporary drama – I usually avoid this specific genre (in the same vein of Hometown ChaChaCha, Twenty Five Twenty One, Our Blues, My Liberation Notes etc) knowing I’d cry at the tender moments, and unable to move on for a while. But I couldn’t help wanting to watch due to our favourite 2 A listers!!! Both of whom did such an incredible job with the performances. Every subtle gesture and expression spoke a thousand words about their emotions towards the other. The sympathy, pain, love, hopelessness, heartache, grief, happiness, longing…I felt it so deeply.

Good job, team. This is a perfect first drama to start my 2024.

  4. i wish we could have seen more of the youngest sister’s story but overall it was a good watch. the cockroach couple was hilarious asf

  5. All in all a Good Show some Bloodboiling Things.. And it is a bit Stupid that Eun Ju got away with what she did.

  6. Is nobody going to talk about how this helper from the convenience store who spoke perfect Korean… What was his name? Turned out to be like a prince or millionaire or something? ? I thought it was a random but cute thing to do

  7. i was so looking forward to this drama every weekend and now we are here
what an amazing show i really want to go to jeju now at least once
love this kind of healing show

  8. Thank you for warming my heart Samdalri people, you will be missed. A wholesome and sweet drama. Definitely highly recommended to watch.
The best ending anyone could ever wished for ❤️

  9. That was an amazing watch, absolutely a 10/10! Loved almost every single thing about this drama except for the unnecessary love triangle and I was also not very convinced by the elder sister’s story. The chemistry was oozing and damn it was so heartwarming and sweet.

I know a lot of people were looking for the revenge story but tbh I didn’t really care since this story was very evidently meant to be healing. And, I quite liked the way the character was discarded because, in the end, she did not get anything she desired while Sam-dal lived on. They say success is the best revenge and this was very evident here.

Gonna miss this a lot!! Hope the actors work together again please, cause as a JCW who has not enjoyed his dramas after MMS, this was absolutely great! :))

  10. I love each each of the characters ending…except that b*tch…I mean as much as I don’t want to see her, I was actually waiting for her downfall…not just like that…it was like as fast as a snap…it wasn’t satisfying as I anticipated.

It was another village of great people and so many lovable characters that they introduced…thank you so much for the journey…the love and friendship…the life lessons and family relation…the dream…and of course self love. This one is a keeper, I’d definitely save my copy.

  11. I can’t believe this series is coming to an end, those 8 weeks went by a blink! I’m glad that everyone got to have their happy ending that they deserved, although I was hoping we’d get to see more of Bang Eun-ju struggling but still this was actually one of the best endings in 2024. I just hoped we’d get to see a more elaborated story of Jin-dal, Hae-dal and Sang-do, maybe we can get a special episode who knows?
I just don’t know how I’m gonna spend this Saturday and Sunday without this drama ??

  12. More project to come for them??nice drama… Can someone suggest what drama is good to watch after this?

  13. “Welcome to Samdalri” should have been more about the people of Samdalri from the get-go, like how they overcome daily, social, life, and family matters, and most essentially, how they help each other thru each crisis. If only so, the coming together of the whole village at the end would have been more impactful. We got to see how everyone stood up for Samdal at the end but never the other way around. Unfortunately, not a single episode or two dedicated to Samdal being there for them (i.e. giving back to the community that raised and praised her).

Only the last two episodes are relevant to the title. I came here to feel the warmth of a small town – (finally) checked! Kim Tae Hee’s cameo was a cherry on top. I guess you could say that they ended it on a high note.

  14. So good!!!! feel great movie!!! I wish there is season 2 and 3. Would be interesting to elaborate more on the stories of the older sister and the younger sister. Love all the characters here…..just so much balance in the way they showed all the characters grow.

  15. Another lovely drama written in the books! As much as I’ve hope to see Eun Ju’s downfall and suffering, I guess dwelling too much on her would also ruin the light-hearted and warmness of this drama. It’s so nice to see the power rangers succeed in Seoul again and of course, our Sam Dal and Young Pil romance~ I’m going to miss this couple so much and hope to come back and rewatch someday again!

  16. One thing I wish they had translated for us is all the text at the exhibition. I thought this about Yong Pil was so extremely sweet and it’s a true testament of their relationship in this drama. It was so beautiful!

And the text that starts the exhibition. Of course it’s not the best translation, Google lens can only do so much, especially when the text isn’t fully shown, but I thought this was so sweet and very much on topic of the drama. She rediscovered home and with it, she rediscovered herself and how she didn’t have to be anyone else. I love it.

  17. Great series and everyone achieved their dream in the end! I was actually really happy for Kyung-tae and Sam-Dal’s assistant lmao

  18. my babieeessss! Together again! For a second I was worried because of what Gyeong Tae said!!! So I guess after some time away Jong Pil is spending some time in Seoul? Annoying them there? lol. I mean they could both travel the world, they both have possibilities! I LOVED their chemistry. The entire cast was AMAZING! And such a beautiful drama!!

I absolutely LOVED Sam Dal, she was overwhelmed, she was feeling lowest than low but she realized she didn’t have to part ways with her small stream. However she was never separated from it, not completely, not in the way some people seem to have interpreted it here. She didn’t “act” any way, people LOVE to scream abuse when someone raises their voice… And to her staff? She only did it once to the bitch assistant who kept pushing the scarf and now we know it’s because she ALWAYS pushed for things no matter if they didn’t go AT ALL with what the theme was. To every single other person INCLUDING that bitch the 99.99% of the times (to everyone else it was 100%) she was kind and considerate and she even told her two trusted assistants to not bother the bitchy chick, to have patience with her and treat her kindly… The ONE time she shouted… Have y’all WATCHED kdramas? Have you not seen how bosses usually are to their employees? ONE single time she shouted to get her act together is absolutely nothing over there! Even the other photographer who was at that meal or was she an art director? At that get together, she told Sam Dal she was SUPER considerate with that bitchy chick, because Sam Dal herself endured SO MUCH WORSE and that was the norm!
    Same with the drinking scenes:
    A. She was scared, depressed, felt she had NOBODY on her side ever, not fully.
    B. Have y’all not WATCHED kdramas?? There are SO MANY drunken scenes… Because it’s much cheaper to get a bottle of Soju that it is to get proper food. It’s a cliché for a reason. Honestly she didn’t act any worse than any of the other ones characters when she was drunk, not from this drama not from others I’ve seen. The ONLY kdrama where I’ve seen someone act SO GOOD when drunk is when the guy started organizing everything in his way while walking drunk lol chairs out of place? He’d pick them up and put them in place. Garbage spilled? He’d put it in the right place lol but that’s a rarity in kdramas and I can’t even remember which drama is that I saw that right now ?

Sam Dal she wasn’t presumptuos, she never thought herself better than anyone no matter in Seoul or Samdalri, she even was doubting herself if perhaps she had inadvertedly made her assistant feel SO bad she drove her to attempt against her life. Yet she did her best to remain strong when that bitch wanted to humilliate her. I love her character! She was not weak, she was ABSOLUTELY NOT abusive, she was just… away from her shore, disconnected from her core, which was Yong Pil, which was Samdalri, once she found that back and faced every little remaining fear, she became stronger than ever. I loved that. Such a beautiful, funny, sweet drama. I loved every second of it, even those that made me feel impatient lol. 100% reccomend!

  19. loved the drama ….. i like how this story shows the true meaning of friends / family/community and how they all pull together to help ….

  20. What a heart-warming ending! Loved every little thing about it and even though we didn’t get to see the worst ending for the villain, I think it makes sense since Sam Dal didn’t show to be a person who enjoyed watching others suffer and that’s why she said she felt bitter despite the truth coming out. I think she understood that people are quite hypocrite, and anyone would be ready to bash you out without checking information beforehand. She might have felt relieve but not glad because she knew what kind of suffering was coming for Eun Ju. The viewer can imagine that everything that happened to Sam Dal will happen to Eun Ju in a worse way as she will never be able to clear her name. So, I’m glad the writer/director decided to spend more minutes on the happy endings.

  21. I’ve said it before I’ll say it again. I LOVE the ahjummas!!!!!!!! The haenyeos!!! lol this is EPIC!

    I’m loving EVERYBODY here ??

    Throwing shade, are we?? ????????

As always… Wookie is FANTASTIC. Lol I LOVE that his sole presence is scary to both the slimey reporter and the slimey ex boyfriend ??

  22. What can I say?
This lil gem will remain in my heart for a LONG time!
Loved every moment from start to end…..1 Of the BEST dramas……..

GOD BLESS YOU ALL———–See you in the next one———=-) ICE x

  23. I have some favorite actors and actresses in this drama. But for some reasons I just dislike the FL’s character. Before her downfall she was obnoxious and she did throw her weight about by screaming at her staff. After her downfall, she’s one clingy drunken crying mess.

  24. loved this one 🙂 also WOW kim tae-hee truly has the face of a princess she’s so so so pretty

  25. Lovely show!! Thanks to All!! Everything good to say about this show has been said!!!

  26. So glad it ended with a pretty well rounded episode. Seems like a natural slice of life without a conclusion but just an overall vibe of things got better than they were.

  27. Recently went back to my hometown and this was truly heartwarming especially with sense of community everyone had here. There’s no place like home.

  28. it was really a good one! No cringe scnd lead ; a respectful kdrama. Teaching about home and living together.Highly recommended ! it s a 10 for me

  29. wow i really enjoy this show gonna miss all of them that is a friendship that very rare to find…hoping for more project for all of them

  30. I still don’t understand why Youngpil‘s co-workers always have another conclusion than Youngpil about the weather but Youngpil’s ones always turn out to be true. And why don’t they let him report the result of his examination? Isn’t the result based on examining many factors thus it should be scientifically proven before they giving out the report? They even know Youngpil is the best among them but they still don’t let him take the mic. Moreover, the reason behind his efforts are bcos of his mom‘s death. It must be frustrating for him.

  31. ??❤️ nice ending.loved it! I was hoping for more dramatic? Ending for BEJ but like others said, i understand why directornim didnt include more for her story. It was wrapped up nicely. And happy for the talkative friend who found his other half ??. And JD and DY got back together ?❤️. I wanted to see their stories more too but it is what it is. And the cameo I’ve been waiting for!! ? as expected of KTH. Even in a crowd of hatred, there will always be at least one person who’s on your side. That last quote. ??❤️ the child actress did great honestly. I’ll be looking forward to her works and growth in the future too! Loved uri taengoo’s ost too?

  32. damn im gonna miss this drama, so heartwarming. it talked about healing, community, friendship, failure.

this is ji chang wook’s best performance!!!

i loved the ending montage and everyone’s ending.

i wish there was more romance and that they built up them starting new again. an engagement on the white christmas would’ve been everything

  33. Everyone coming out to defend her after abandoning her are all trash in my opinion. Especially when now that the truth is out they want to reach out their hands, but turned so quickly without even waiting to hear her side.

I also love that they didn’t delve too deep into BEJ because it’s karmic and equivalent exchange. She got the exact same treatment and abandonment that Sam dal got. Though I wish they would’ve left mi-ja beat her mother up just once.

    The pictures…my goodness I sobbed.
The reporter being wowed made my entire heart melt. I’m sobbing. A wonder ending to the series. Definitely will be up there as one of my top comfort shows.

  34. SPEECHLESS! THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND SERIES HAS COME TO AN END.. I might rewatch this one all over again..

  35. WOW AMAZING….I’LL SURELY MISS THIS DRAMA…SUCH A WONDERFUL JOURNEY.
    #WelcomeToSamdal-ri ?

  36. This show finished really strong. Feel like the last few episodes had a good tone and vibe which is what I was expecting when I first started the show. Overall I’d give it an OK just because it seemed to drag for the first 8-10 eps and the triangle was just weird lol
    6 or 7/10

  37. Exhibition scene, so touching and heartwarming ? This was a great drama, it started a bit slow, but got better with every episode.

  38. This Series <3 wow I need to go to Jeju island before my life ends I almost took my life in recent years Kdramas really are lightning in a bottle at times they take you to another world and show you something that makes life worth living Hope and Love. I am going to take a trip to Jeju in this lifetime I am still alive to do just that. Such a Special and
Inspiring Show. One that Transcends so much in the dark times in the
world these days. the Cast was a gift and with out a doubt every Scene
Ha Yul is in Played buy A future Star in Kdramas Kim Do Eun She steals
every Scene she is in 1000% loved her in this Series her future is
bright. Loved this series setting the standard for 2024. Still only
being into Kdramas for about only 4 yrs we are living in a great time to
be fans of a Genera that is 2nd to none in the global entertainment
industry! Korea puts out some amazing series some are rare and gifts to
those who get to witness them for what they inspire in those who watch
    them. <3

  39. Eun Ju’s fall was a little disappointing since I wanted to see her suffer but these last 2 eps were perfect closure. This drama ties with Twinkling Watermelon as my best dramas from 2023. In this sea of dramas I have to skip through, I am extremely grateful for dramas like this where I never have to skip. Every scene is beautifully crafted. Please please please dramaland, let’s use this as the standard. My only complaint is that the romance started too late and we could’ve used some King the Land level kissing. That said, I’d still rate this a 10. The visuals, the acting, the script and direction were all on point. I couldn’t tell you the last time I cried but I actual shed a tear during that exhibition. As someone who studied photography, I was really impressed with the photos. Most photography shows just put some generic photos and call it a day. I’m sure even a layman could tell these photos were on a different level. Instead of just hanging pictures on the wall, they really planned out an exhibition like a photographer of her caliber would. I was really impressed by how they used the space and the pictures radiated the heartwarming vibe of this whole drama. Now back to waiting for another blue moon.

  40. one thing that I didn’t understand, y the mother is still diving??? what about her heart condition??? so much fuss about her health, daughters and grand daughter crying for her, a man didn’t leave Samdal-ri despite wanting to go, so that he can keep an eye on her to protect her from dangerous situations, ex son in law cancelling building a theme park where he committed and brought it to Samdal-ri despite his family being against the decision, the doctor clearly told that she needs complete rest and not to dive anymore….and yet she’s still diving….y??? and to present this excuse that now her daughter would take care of her, how??? if mum gets a heart attack underwater, what would she do??? would it be faster to take her to the hospital while she’s on land or in water???

  41. I just want to highlight how impressed I was with Yu Oh-Seong’s performance in this drama as Cho Sang-tae/Yong-pil’s dad. His acting deserves an award ?

This was on the realistic side of slice-of-life dramas I’ve seen. I’m not into dramas where ex’s get back together, but this really surprised me. Another banger SOL drama from JTBC. Unlike most, I actually enjoyed our main couple’s scenes a lot. This drama wasn’t all sunshines and rainbows, yet I found it relaxing. The scene where all her friends teamed up to take down BEJ gave me Vincenzo, Fiery Priest, Taxi Driver vibes lol.

I like that Hae-dal stayed back at the island. Maybe I just didn’t want to see everyone leave again. There wasn’t any character I really hated apart from BEJ. Gwang-tae is easily my favorite character, nice to see that he got a happy ending 🙂

    9/10

  42. They should do a short series of Cho Hae Dal & her daughter Cho Ha Yool. I loved the duo!

  43. Good bye, Samdalri. We had a lovely time together. I know that somewhere in the backwoods, Eunju has been mauled by her sponsors, had her hair pulled out by her own mother for being a disgrace, and been sued by her underlings for maltreatment. She has found her place with the cockroaches tossed out by AS, Daeyeong and Jindal, having done due diligence. Weldone, everyone?.

  44. Winter Kdrama set in a coastal village, you are my Roman Empire ❤️ A slightly open yet satisfying conclusion because it’s left to our imagination what our squad gets up to (I’ll think about you often Dolphin fam! ?). The exhibition really was a perfect encapsulation of how much warmth this show has given us over the weeks and I’ll miss it a lot

  45. Loved the whole show but I really wanted a back story of Hae-dal… how she met Ha-yul’s dad and his death. Her relationship with her daughter is amazing so I wanted to see her growth from moving to the city at a young age, meeting her husband, losing him and getting pregnant…

  46. This is truly a heartwarming drama. Loved every bit of it. I really loved the ending shot with Hae Dal and her mum ❤️. Loved all the characters and their stories apart from that evil witch (we all know who that is). Omg plot twist of the year is Mansu being a billionaire ?

Just wanna add – the actress that plays Ha-Yul is so talented omg. She’s so amazing and so smart.

Having a place to return to is an incredible relief ❤️

  47. This was a nice drama. Not gonna lie , I skipped most of the scenes with the FL and ML. Was more interested in the sisters and friend stories. I am annoyed that the ex bf was forgiven, other than that it was an ok weekend drama.

  48. So the eldest sister lives apart from her ex-husband and the are t. And it was the junior weather forecaster who moved up at the weather office at Jeju and became passionate about getting the forecasts for Jeju right.

  49. Very good drama…I just didn’t like not seeing BEJ suffer a bit but that’s probably because of my personal feelings.

  50. I’m not happy that we didn’t get to see Bang Eun Ju suffering after all she put Sam Dal through ??

  51. I’m glad the oldest daughter got her back blown out at the end…my dude been struggling for a couple episodes now and that one roache was hilarious ?

  52. I loved it!! Yong-Pil the Greenest flag of 2023-2024 ??☘
I’m gonna miss them so so much ?
This show ended so fast. It ended in a blink of eye.

Please make a separate drama for them with the same cast and story. They are too precious ??

  53. The pictures they put on the exhibition were so beautiful omg.

Okay it’s THE END of another beautiful and comfort drama. This type of drama comes once or twice in a year and somehow leaveafter comforting us. The way it felt like the people of samdal-ri were a part of my life all these days. I loved every part of this drama. I can write about every person of this drama but it’s not possible lol. I loved the chaotic sisters, loved power rangers gang, the haenyeos, the haedal hayul’s healthy mother daughter relationship, bond between the parents and child, my littol dolphin family, the ADs of sam-dal, the people of samdal-ri and last but not least my samdal yongpil parents. It was definitely not only a romance drama, it was all about having your own people who loves you, will love and support you in every stage of your life. I’ll miss this one sm??

  54. I will miss all of them god.
I loved the endings they gave everyone and Kim tae hee omg the goddess herself!
    i loved it
    just splendid
and they eased our transition to the new year hence thank you samdalri squad
many people are noticing how the writers didnt include an ending for eunju- maybe as a reminder that after all what happens to those who harm us doesnt matter at all. what matters is who we become after wading out of the deep water.
we all know she was punished.

  55. I’m just glad no one gave up their dreams for the other person.

morale of this story : sometimes your small stream is all your need in life, cherish the other fishes in it because there is no place like home.

  56. Such an heartwarming end of this wonderful slice of life drama. I wish I had someone who can ask “are you okay” when something is not going well in life, burst in tears everytime when young phil asked sam dal. Young phil is the best companion someone can ask for. ❤️

  57. OMG SO WHOLESOME ENDING! I’ve cried so hard as my heart was full of joy and sorrow. I’ve wished to have a family in a small cozy town somwehere, wished for my childhood friends to be unchanged and still here, wished for things i’ve lost on the way, and for things i’ve never had. Thank you for making this beautiful drama ❤

  58. LIVE, LAUGH , LOVE SAMDAL
ugh this show was just a breath of fresh air. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. It always hurt when a good show ends, but i’m glad that I gave this show a try.

  59. It was a heartwarming drama . Samdal and her people’s exhibition made me cry. It was beautiful. The message of having a place, a family, a person to return to when you need to recharge is important. There’s no place like home when we’re overhelmed and need to find ourselves.
Overall I liked everyone’s story. The bonds between families, between neighbors and their community. It’s true that it can be annoying when everyone gets involved in your affairs, but that’s because they consider themselves a big family.
They all get their closure. They forgave, reconnected. Some found new calling, new love and better communication with their loved ones. Others moved on, tried again and succeded. They all are in a better place.
My only complaint is I would’ve like more lovey dovey moments between the couples and a girlfriend for Sang-do.

  60. Love the exhibit. It was like looking into Sam Dal’s life; a live journal in fact.

    – “you could have a boyfriend, and it could be me..“?
Damn Dolphin man that was smooth~?

Aw that was beautiful.. I kinda was late to the party so to speak.☺️ I liked the parting message.. when you have someone to come home to or someone who you can rely on it really does make your life’s struggles just a lil bit.. easier. And just enough that you’re able to go on another day..

Well now I have to go check this drama out in its entirety – what a gem of a drama.????

  61. Really really loved the exhibition. It was so heart warming and made me cry.
But then, Seoul inherited YoungPil’s madness and I lost it. His Jeju team seemed so relieved to have gotten rid of him ?

  62. Most k-dramas I’ve seen shot in Jeju tend to be heart warming with the people always exhibiting such a warm sense of community. I find that truly fascinating.

  63. Let’s all thank Eun ju for doing something so horrible which ended up sending our Sam-dal back to her hometown, which ended up making things so much better, she reconnected with her roots, her friends and young pil. Not only that it also made things better for others around her. Young Pil’s father finally let go of his grudge and became friendly with her family again. Her friends finally gave Seoul one more try, not that they weren’t happy or successful before in jeju but they were a bit ashamed of being so called failures, now they are thriving. Gyeong-tae even found a gf. Jin-dal and her ex got back together. Hae dal found somebody who also loves her daughter and now she can dive with her mother; and pick up swimming again. Ha-yup finally gets to be a kid. Their mother is also not living in constant guilt. Life for everyone around them bloomed. None of this would not have happened if all three didn’t move back, and they would not have done so if not for the bad reporters and BEJ. It shows at the end of the day even if some one does bad to you only good will be the outcome. And evil person won’t be able to last long.

  64. Ha-yul is such a sweet baby. I love the way Hae-dal communicates and raises her. This was overall such a wholesome final episode with everything wrapped up perfectly and happily. I also love the phrase that Ms. Ko tells the haenyeons and what Yongpil said again at the end–“We’re going for only as long as our breath allows without being greedy.”

I’m glad those who needed closure had closure. Bang Eun-ju got a taste of her own medicine. And the reporter became someone better. At least that’s what I hope. Lol. I really hated him when he noticed them and followed them to the warehouse.

Love all the couples in this drama. Hope Sang-do meets his girl someday too. He has been nothing but a loyal and considerate friend to both Sam-dal and Yong-pil. So nice to see all of them gathering again, though Yong-pil was missing. But the ending with Sam-dal and Yong-pil was so heart-fluttering and heart-warming.

I love that the message of this drama wasn’t that you wouldn’t make it if you leave your hometown. But having a place you can return to when you need a break is something precious. And that place could be anywhere for anyone. It could be your hometown, your blood-related family, or even a non blood-related family. And like Sam-dal said, she was too focused on the negative things and overlooked the good.

If I were in Sam-dal’s shoes, I don’t think I’d be able to have such a big heart like her and accept those who have abandoned me so easily before. But Sam-dal is impressive and she’s indeed a professional. Without that attitude, she wouldn’t have made it this far and become so successful. She only came back stronger and secured her position once again with her sincerity, skills, and hard work. That’s something I should truly learn from Sam-dal.

Seeing all the villagers and our Power Rangers so happy now makes my heart so full. This was such a feel-good drama, even though Bang Eun-ju made my blood boil whenever she appeared. I love that no screen-time was wasted on her right after she found herself in hot water. All the screen-time was left to show the happy moments with those who truly matter. Even though this drama has ended, I’m not sad to say goodbye because it ended so well!

  65. So reporter will not get any punishment??? Was it really only Eun-ju fault?? Who gave her real power??

IF Eun-ju had placed the complaint in police then she could not have done anything as police can figure out real recording and false recording. So It was all reporters doing. Without reporters and her ex support Eun-ju had no powers. But reporters never get their karma back and FL help that ex again. I really think FL deserve that humilation because she again trusted that ex. His career was in end. and It was totally because of his own choices but FL still helps him and still works with him like working with your Ex and doing overtime also when your current BF is in foreign seems like FL still have feeling for ex like she had for chong pil even though he was ex.

  66. Now this is what I call happy ending ???
Was worth the sleepless hours to bing this heart touching drama ???

  67. From the guest appearance…to the song choices…to the exhibit…all the couples getting together…to the time skip….what a lovely ending!

  68. Wow I got to see gorgeous Kim tae hee as a guest appearance ♥️♥️?. She looked so stunning ? drop dead gorgeous as ever

N wookie looked so good in that maroon jacket ??

  69. Choi Samdal and her people. Just a simple story of people in Samdalri. People who can love with their whole heart and hate with a passion too, if you provoke their loved ones. A drama which showed “Many people may support you at your highest but the ones who support you at your lowest is the ones that truly loves you, and eventually you realise that those people are your home. A place where you can be yourself and be supported.” ❤️
The leads were the reason I was waiting for the drama and they truly delivered what I was hoping to see. Their emotions and acting was truly heartwarming. Every character was really giving their all. The sisters, their parents, our ha yul, the haenyeos, the sister’s bfs, the friend gang, her team, the arab prince?etc. also the exhibition ?❤️
It was a slow paced second chance romance filled with love, acceptance and reunions. A drama filled with people following their dreams with a strong home to fly back to.
I really feel sorry for those who stopped watching this after first 2-3 episodes. Because heartwarming dramas like this doesn’t come often. This drama has the kind of ending that leaves you satisfied.
PS – DK’s ost made the drama even more beautiful.

  70. PERFECT ENDINGGGGGGGGGGGG and KTH cameo was the icing on the cakeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ?????????????

  71. Like Mansu told, Do you know Samdal-ri? Heartwarming place.
Though it had slow plot, it was very heartwarming.
Also liked the fact that unlike other hometown based kdramas where the characters settle down in hometown, few characters here set out following their dreams and few while staying back.
I wanted some more screen time for our Dolphin Namchun’s dad and Ha-yul’s mom.

  72. I just wish we got to see more of Ba Eun Ju or whatever that female cat’s name is, suffer

  73. Just finished, not the besttt drama, but enjoyed watching it. The first 10 to 12 eps were kinda slow and then the leads got together and we got to see the teamwork of Samdalri people… it was so heart warming ?

EVERY MAN IN THIS DRAMA WAS A GREEN FLAG ???? (except Cheong Chung Gi)
    Special shoutout to Gyeong Tae>>>

I recommend this to people who might love the main cast or if you want to watch something slow and breezy when you have just too much time and don’t know what to watch

  74. “Welcome to Samdalri”
That is such an apt title for this really good slice of life drama. Overall, they ended this on a good and nice note. At first, I was wondering for whom she was conducting this exhibition if ahe has to hide it but the whole theme was so heart warming. The pictures whoever captured it – bravo?
Every sister’s relationship moving a step forward was really nice to see.
My fav characters from start to til the end :
    – Hayul, my girl, I love love the conversation Jin Dal had with her. No child should have to achieve the dreams of their parent(s).
    – Gyeong Tae, he is epitome of innocence. He is true to his emotions and although he can be an airhrad sometimes, he is the kind type of airhead. His proposal just like him and I am glad he found the one.
    – Cho Yong Pil, ofcourse our hero is one among the green forests. I am glad he chose to go after his dreams. I loved how he was chaotic until the end.
    – Bu Mi Ja, the actress always nails every single role but in particular her acting when she confronted Sang Tae is cherry on top.
My only ick, Ban Eun Ju. Seriously?? Should I be mad that that is all she got in the end or Should be satisfied she is not worth the screen time? I think I choose the former cause c’mon she was the seed to this whole drama. You owed it to the viewers to see her grovel under Sam dal’s feet. That was such a party pooper.?

  75. We have finally reached the end of this truly beautiful and emotional journey. The last two episodes I cried my eyes out?, and laughed my heart out. I’m glad everyone got their happy ending. I have to admit that I was expecting the journalist to suffer the consequences of his bloodthirsty, unethical ambition and to see Eun Ju pay the price for her malice, but as Sam Dal said, it all happened kind of fast (I don’t know, maybe it’s better , because we enjoyed the good moments longer).

Although Young Pil and Sam Dal are the main couple, I was happiest because of these two people ❤️❤️ . The scene with the cockroach is iconic, even though I was laughing like crazy, I would have acted exactly like Dae Yeong in that situation.

I wish we didn’t have to wait another year or two to watch a series like this again, because series like this are food for the soul.

  76. loved loved loved this exhibition ❤️ ♥️

m glad she rested well and enough and went back to claim her crown and not just her, all of them went back and found what they’re gud at and succeeded ???

  77. what a terrible terrible terrible ending to the false rumour thing and no, absolutely no repercussions for Eun ju….no body was shown bashing her and camping outside her house to chew her out….did they really think this one expression was enough???

I was waiting for her to commit suicide again and no one around to save her and the drama ending at her funeral….and m absolutely not sorry if someone finds it cruel, cz I believe that’s exactly what should happen to bullies and to people who spread false information about others and destroy their lives. Period.

  78. In these modern days where people are cutting ties too easily, even with their own parents, The last screen narration “Have a place to return is an incredible relief” sums up just about everything. Whenever having a hard time, if you have a place to return and a person whom you can rely means you still have a chance to start again. It gives you the courage to quit somethin that puts you in despair. You have something incredible that few to many people in the world won’t have. This is why it is good to strengthen bonds with other people instead of throwing it away on little disturbances on the way.

PS- I do not mean never cut ties with toxic people, always cut them out.

  79. Look at his face. See, they’re not all bad people (except for Eun-ju). I would say the character development in this drama was really good. I don’t think i would’ve enjoyed this drama as much as i did if all the problems were solved in 6 episodes and everyone suddenly became nice.

I didn’t like Sam-dal’s mom, Yong-pil’s dad, Sang-do, Cheon Chung-gi, the haenyo who always gossiped. But did I hate them enough to drop this drama? No, because at the end I knew they would come good lol.
P.S I’m not excusing Cheon Chungi’s cheating, but at least he helped expose BEJ in the end.

  80. Kim Tae-Hee, my og goddess. I miss her so much in dramas ?

This ends so well. I love every minute of watching this finale. Thank you Samdal-ri!!

  81. There were so many healthy green flag relationships in this drama that made it so wholesome and beautiful to watch. After a certain point I think I was more invested in the relationships and growth of Hae Dal and Jin Dal rather than our main leads?.

I think this scene healed my inner child.

Also the cameo with Kim Tae Hee! 2 Goddesses of acting in 1 frame ?.

  82. Papgo translations of some of the photo cards.

Edit: someone commented on the quality of the photos. If you click on the photo and open it or open as preview or new tab, you should then be able to see and zoom in and out.

Please be kind and know that these are not exactly translations. But they do give you the essence of what they say.

  83. Lol……..cute and happy endings for all. While I appreciated the serious mature daughter HaYul played, her last scene with her Ma was overkill. Few children at that age are able to talk like that let alone decipher and comprehend complex emotions such as the ones she ‘understood’, especially the ones concerning her Ma and Grandma. Still found myself amazed at the wonderful job she did. Such a wonderful streak of good strong up and coming child stars we’ve been privy to the last couple years~
Wish we’d been able to see more of EunJa’s downfall like frs………And I loved the scene of YP being dragged out and told to go back to Jeju!! ?
Think this overall was a solid drama~

  84. They should have atleast shown BEJ suffering for 2 mins and not just show the truth come to light.
I am glad everyone found ways to fulfill their dreams and achieved them. I always like these small village dramas as they show the people to be so kindhearted and heartwarming which is difficult to see in metropolitan cities coz here everyone is so busy with their own lives that don’t care how the other person is living (including me), we should learn to be like these people, nosy but kindhearted and heartwarming, ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
When will SK stop stereotyping south asian people? Like why is every south asian looking person Arabic?? Anyways that was huge twist how Man Su was actually a prince lol
