  4. Uh uh…there better be a season 2 and soon. I don’t like waiting too long because I don’t want to lose track or have to backtrack when season 2 begins.

    We include Tian and the whole of Class A are waiting for Shen Wang’s return.

    This is the best I’ve ever enjoyed. It’s not only good. It’s so realistic; it’s relatable. This has the best of everything, from the story, the cast, the acting, cinematography, etc. Personally, I find no flaw in the production.

  7. This just ruined my day. I’m going to actually crash out. Who wrote this I wanna talk to them cause why are we ending a show like this. Also those teachers kinda make me mad. Like I know they’re just trying to encourage him to do better but there’s a line for the way they’re talking to him. Just btw my day has been ruined further cause I closed this comment out hallway through and I found out Jaehyun is going to the military on NOVEMBER 4TH 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 I hate my life. It’s like the universe is getting back at me for all the wrong I’ve done

    i want S2 plz …gives us some special episode…

    this series is another masterpiece from Taiwan… And another Taiwan series is getting released in next mon ..I forgot name but looking forward for that…

  13. I think Jiang Tian is enough smart/clever for understanding what Sheng Wang feels about him :

    – Jiang Tian felt his breath draw closer when Sheng Wang was tempted to kiss him…

    – Jiang Tian learned that Sheng Wang had nerves of steel in front of a horror movie… then he thought there was another reason for Sheng Wang to want to sleep with him so much…

    – Jiang Tian knew that Sheng Wang deliberately failed his exams but he did not manage to get him to confess his thoughts… And Jiang Tian did not want to put pressure on Sheng Wang by confessing his own feelings for him…

    After crying, screaming and fist-punched a wall, Jiang Tian decided to be patient…
    He reattached a part of the bracelet and decided to wait for Sheng Wang to come back to him to reattach the other part of the bracelet on his wrist…

  16. This last episode just made me sad and depressed for both Jiang Tian and Sheng Wang 😭😭

    That entire lunch scene at Old man Ding’s house just made me want to cry and hold them both and make them both express what they really wanted to say and make Sheng Wang tell Jiang Tian his entire reasoning behind his self butchered mock exam results that have resulted in them separating. They also just had to have Sheng Wang notice Jiang Tian wasn’t wearing their matching bracelets anymore because of it ripping/breaking and Sheng Wang getting very visibly upset and hurt by it 🥺

    I also almost lost it when Jiang Tian lost his composure on the staircase and started releasing his pent up emotions after he dropped Sheng Wang off at class B.

    We also had to deal with Lin and Zhao Xi having awkwardness come between them after Lin kissed Zhao Xi declaring that he liked him and not the female teacher. Also, we didn’t even get to hear Zhao Xi’s response to Lin’s confession of him liking Zhao Xi.

    This was just pain upon pain today and now we have to unfortunately wait to hear if season 2 will be happening or not 😭

A lot of my perceptions of the last 2 episodes (including my comments) were somewhat based on a strong hope for a season 2 (after the director mentioned it himself in a podcast) but I don’t know anymore. I’ve been hearing people say that the chinese reception is not good, people are rating it low, and the cast and director are being harassed online. If all this is true, my hopes for a season 2 are going down…🥺

  19. AHHHHHHH! I’ll be abandoning Season 2 of this drama if the cast is not the same! What a cruel ending, ugh. I was so stressed with thesis writing; I thought watching this would alleviate some of it, but it made me even more stressed.

  20. Tian knew he lost sheng, he knew how sheng felt, that why he was so heartbroken
    And the way sheng called him “brother “ in every sentence it was so obvious he wanted to forget him, he thought he could erase his feelings for tian the way he erased all the right answers just to stay in a different class from tian but i felt hurt too, now how I’m I suppose to live with this heartbreak till season 2” and the director sayed they will only drop season 2 if this one became a hit😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

    Tian,s heartbreak scream is stack in my head I don’t know how I will move on from that no lie I have seen a lot of heartbreak scene but nothing compares to this, this one is stuck in my soul I can still hear tian scream😭😭,

  21. Cold old Tian was back in the end. THE WAYYYYY HE WAS TARUNA HOLD BACK THOSE HEARTBREAKING TEARS💔💔💔💔 I WAS AS CRUSHED AS HIM.

    I don’t think either knows that the feeling is mutual. Wang thinking it’s one sided chose distance cause he’s “brother”. The whole dialogue killed me “This isn’t even a question. Whether I like him or not, I know it myself. It’s impossible. He is my elder brother” 💔💔💔💔💔
    And Tian doesn’t even know why Wang is doing it. Someone who said they’ll be with him suddenly starts distancing themselves from him, poor boy was crushed. I just wanted to hug him when he was on the stairs. It was too painful to watch💔💔💔💔

    I wanna see them happy together AT ANY COST! It’s incomplete and I want their complete and happy story😭🤌🏻 manifesting s2🤞🏻

Idk how to feel about this ending, so far they have followed the novel very accurately, it’s just that this shouldn’t have been the last episode even if they’re planning another season to continue. I’m glad I finished the novel before watching the ending of this season so I know the ending is beautiful ultimately (in novel). This last episode falls exactly in the middle of the novel, I knew there was no way they could cover the novel this season considering the pace but I still hoped they would finish at a better point ( at least 5 chapters ahead in novel). No matter what I kinda knew this season will end on the sad note since the novel also has 2 volumes and first volumes end on a sad note, but picks up quickly in 2nd volume. Its not a bad ending it’s simply incomplete, like the actual drama angst story comes after this point in novel this isn’t even the top of iceberg, I just wish even if they were gonna leave audience on a cliffhanger they did that at a better plot point. Anyways, I hope they release a season 2 because this can be heart wrenching and frustrating for those who haven’t read the novel. I felt heavy sad happy nostalgic just while reading novel and these two actors actually portrayed the characters in novel really well. I can totally see them nailing the role in second part of the story as well if the production chooses to continue the series.

  26. Linzi has clearly told Zhao Xi that he likes him this time because he is still not decided to believe that Linzi really loves him and no one else… ^⁠_⁠^’

    But we have to wait for the season 2 to finally know what will be the response of Zhao Xi to this declaration of Love…

    Except for the first few minutes with Wang 🤤 over Tian, the rest of the episode was so difficult to watch. Tian was feeling frustrated as he didn’t know what’s troubling Wang 😔 Aww.. he refused to let anyone take Wang’s seat 🥺

    Wang was conflicted with his feelings for Tian as he had labelled him as someone he couldn’t like, because he was his brother. Apologies to all “brothers” for feeling annoyed by this word 哥 brother today 😅 At least, Wang was not troubled by the fact that he liked a guy 😬 Did he really “purposely” score less well (it was shown that he erased his answers) so that he would drop out from class A, and be away from Tian so that he could sort out his feelings? Or he was distracted by his feelings for Tian that he really missed some answers? 🤔

  28. 1st of all…WHY WHY WHY did it have to end like that?….I need to have a talk with the director…ok, now let’s continue…

    Wang couldn’t/didn’t kiss Tian because a kiss with him means more than just “4 lips touching” to him. He’s now questioning his feelings for Tian. Imagining him showering all sexy, getting shy watching his naked chest, suddenly noticing the sex-appeal of his Adams apple…Wang darling, I think you have your answer already. Poor boy couldn’t sleep because of the vivid dreams he’s having…

    “This isn’t even a question, whether I like him or not. I know it myself. But I can’t; he’s my brother”, followed by changing his profile description to “Brother.” I think this is the dilemma a lot of us viewers also experience while watching this bl trope of step-brothers (?) to lovers…A kind of forbidden love…But this particular show was more than that…It was a beautiful coming of age exploring tale concluding self-discovery, love, trauma, slice of life, manifesting through different relationships.

    Following that night, Sheng only called him “Ge/brother” and Tian visibly looked hurt because he kind of knew what was happening…Why did you have to do that Wang???…The shock on Tian’s face after finding out Wang didn’t make it into the top 30 was exactly my reaction. I instantly knew he must’ve done it on purpose to create a distance between him and Tian (and I was right). The entire episode following that was filled with more and more pain, especially when they were eating together.

    They really had to end it at the most painful point, didn’t they? I am sad it ended like this but it wouldn’t have made sense for a rushed confession w/o the necessary build-up as well. Now the real dreadful thing that could happen is not getting a season 2 😬 because this ending will only be acceptable if S2 is in the works…

  30. All throughout this episode I was thinking, no, no, this can’t be it! No way this is it!

    But it was. This was really the last episode. I can’t believe they finished this with a cliffhanger.

    I’ve been following this show, but for some reasons, I haven’t been here to leave comments. This was a beautiful show. I love how student are actually students, so much that I had nightmares about going back to school and struggling with math and physics again 😰 but that’s not all. They not only show student study, the also use it very celevrly to give the story a deeper meaning, making it all like a poem, and also use it in character development. This is all so smart. I loved how even the most unimportant character in the class actually had a character, in a way that you can remember them and aren’t just some ghosts in the background.

    But (⚠️warning: unpopular opinion ahead) I had some difficulties to keep watching this show and it was always one of the last shows I checked which made me feel kinda guilty. I liked it, and eveyone else loved it, so what is wrong with me?

    But now that I finished it, it’s more clear to me why I felt like that. First of all, each episode was way too long. Some scenes stretched far too long that could have been shorter. 30 min episodes would have solved this problem (I solved it for myself by watching it on 2x. Sorry not sorry). Another thing was, the show sidetracked a lot. It got lost in events so many times that forgot the action. That’s why the couples didn’t move forward. At first I thought the two male teachers were together and it was going to come as surprise, but no.(🤡) Only in episode 9 there was something like a confession and that’s it. Not even more explanation in episode 10. (Although I loved how witnessing them kissing woke Sheng up to his feelings.) moreover, Sheng and Tian… We had 12, 1h episodes. They had all kinds of sweet and deep conversations, lingering, even longing looks at each other, caring for each other like even lovers never do. but they dragged it for 12 episodes so that on1y one of them become aware of his feelings? Plus it’s totally obvious that Tian is in love with Sheng, but the scene at the end of episode 9 confused me all over again. He’s either unaware of his feelings (which seems rather unlikely) or is denying them (which also seems unlikely cuz if so, he must react harder than this, ignoring Sheng and hating himself due to the incident with his dad).
    So I think overall this show dragged the romance part of the story far too long and only came to the point in the last two episodes. The worse part is, I saw an interview (or rather a part of it) with the director and he was asking fans to push for S2 (cuz there will be a lot of kissing and touching and NC scenes). So even a season 2 is not guaranteed.

    I’m so disappointed.

    (Btw did y’all know that little Pepper’s actor is 34?!!?)

    I have trully enjoyed this rare gem 💎 ✨️ and will forever cherish these beautiful characters. It was so nice to be taken back to high-school days and bring back all those cherished memories (nomatter how trivial). I loved seeing the world in the eyes of Tian and Weng and if I’m being biased, I really want a son like Weng..hehehe
    I can’t say much cause I’m stll processing the last ep.
    And writers, directors…You BETTER be ready to continue this story, otherwise…It’s WAR time…
    Oh and ofc, thanks to my hilarious Chingus here, it’s a pleasure to read your thoughts through comments…Luv yu ALL 😄

  32. There you go, the cliffhanger ending for the season that we all were both expecting, and fearing! 😢

    Oh, the follies of youth!! Sheng, you should have known by now that Tian can read you like an open book…even though deep down you definitely know just how much pain you both have to silently endure, you still chose to run from your feelings …..

    ‘Brother’…..like really Sheng!!!…that while you are fixating on him 24×7 and imagining yourself to be a water drop running loose on the undulating plains of his Adam’s apple!! 🙄

    Poor Tian, he did try his best to provide enough sparks to egg Sheng on, when he had a hunch that Sheng actually feigned being scared, only to be close to him…like, I don’t remember Tian sitting, or walking around shirtless ever before, not even in the privacy of Sheng’s place, let alone in the shared dorm…but behold, as Sheng struggled with his intense desire to touch him and fantasised about the whole play of RGB lights on his showering self, Tian goes full-on ‘look at me’ mode….I mean why would Sheng need to look at Gao Tian’s dirty book, when he has an entire man-book in his ‘big-bro’, right? And then, he chose to look away… arrrggghhhh …..

    I tell you Sheng, love is not some kind of anomaly…you can’t ‘correct it’

    As for Linzi, for the all the bravery the previous night, it obviously was too much to face Zhao in the office the ‘morning next’ after the kiss…I feel him… glad that he didn’t back down when confronted by Zhao and clearly said what he had to say…at least one of our favourite couples got their happy confession under the rainy sky…💕

    Even though this was an “Oh no! You can’t do that’ ending for this season, I am glad that they didn’t rush through things between Tian and Sheng just to give us some respite in the final episode of this season…..I would much rather have hope for the future, and that they gave us in plenty…now for the wait….😐

    Tell us already about season 2, no? Btw, if they don’t make a season 2 after this, can we try to do everything possible under the sun to see that all of the show’s team get demoted to Class Z…

  33. Rubbish! These directors and writers need to understand the kind of emotional turmoil they put their audience through when they create these dramas. Cos tell me why they’d end this drama like this! Now I’m feeling so empty and depressed. Like…what was the reason?

    Even Scarlet moon lovers didn’t make me feel this way. I’ve only felt this way 3 other times.
    1. When 2521 ended. (I still pray the writer trips everytime they pass a wire, lol)
    2. The last episode of bad buddy before Christmas when they broke up.
    3. The time of fever’s ending. (The writer needs to fall down the stairs once without major injuries)

    I’m heartbroken. They could have at least given us some sort of hope. I really hope the season 2 is starting next week or I’m packing my bags and going to Taiwan to hunt down a certain director and writer.

  34. Poor Sheng Wang… it took him so long to understand how he felt about Jiang Tian. And after that, he was so feverish every time he thought of Jiang Tian, that he got scared and thought he had to “cure” the disease. He followed the classical societal behavioural programming and the prejudices that go with it, making him perceive his feelings and his feverish attraction for Jiang Tian as a disease that he had to cure… •́⁠︿⁠•̀

    He intentionally failed his exams to be transferred to another class and started calling Jiang Tian “brother” systematically….⁠ •́⁠︿⁠•̀

    Witnessing the suffering of Jiang Tian, when he was seeing Sheng Wang intentionally move away from him, was so painful… ·⁠´⁠¯⁠`⁠(⁠>⁠▂⁠<⁠)⁠´⁠¯⁠`⁠·⁠.
