  3. So many things happening. I thought that Sunja’s brother in law might die to the aftereffects of the bombing. Moving, rebuilding, working all the time, poverty, this family has it all. It must be very stressful for Noa since he is the oldest son. I also think that Hansu with all of his flaws, helped the family a lot during the hard moments.

  5. I would really love a director’s voice over version or even a short extra feature for each episode that really delves into the choices being made and what non-Asians may not understand certain nuances. The use of black and white and smaller screen format for one.

    also, for anyone who read the book. No spoilers please just want to know… was the scene with the American GI giving the sunglasses in the book?
