My Happy Ending (2023) Episode 1
This may give solace to people with some kind of mental disorder. What he says at the end to her when she says that she is ill. Not the exact words, but he says : The illness is just a tiny part of you. It doesn’t define who you are.You are much more than that.
Why didn’t the detective get a long jail term for conspiracy to murder/ aiding and abetting the murder of her husband?
The punishment for the villainess was not satisfying at all.
In my opinion, despite all that, it was a good watch. I looked forward to every episode.
Another wasted ending as they killed the villain off without getting what she deserved. UGH
the character I really wanna appreciate is the father’s, he stood by her through thick and thin and went along with every decision she took…he really proved that not all step parents are evil and not all real parents are angels, he never considered her a step daughter, did for her more than a biological father could do, case in point, Yun jin’s father.
He deserves all the respect ???.
m gald that step parents are shown in a gud light these days, the Assemblywoman from Queen of divorce and the father here…..
This drama should have been titled “My Stupid Ending”. What was the favor Jae-Won asked of Soon-Young? Who passed the note to the ex-detective in lock up? What did the note say? Was Yoon-Jin’s death an accident?
Then there was a time jump of one year immediately after Yoon-Jin’s death and flashbacks upon flashbacks just to fill in the time. The worst ending I have ever seen. Long-winded and time-wasting.
The only thing I liked in this drama is jae won’s character development, tae oh’s constant pillar like support and the OST!
A drama like this has so much potential especially which has a strong storyline and an amazing start could have been made so well but oh no the writers decide to kill of the husband for no god damn reason at all!! (Yes, I’m still bitter about it and forever will be) That’s when the plot or the drama as a whole started going downhill!
AND ABOUT YOON JIN’S ENDING? WTF WTF AND WTF! It’s the most stupidest ending I have ever seen! And why tf did she even kidnap ah rin? GOD KNOWS!
If they hadn’t killed off the husband and given yoonjin a more satisfying ending then this drama would be a 10 for me
I rate this 7/10!
Death of villain by suicide/accident is such a lame copout for the writers!
The best OST ending.
Last episodes, a bit dragging. all in all, it’s a good drama.
they did have chemistry and m gald they ended up together…. he did alot for her….
Lets just say the quite part out loud
Started out ok then went down hill fast.
m glad she resolved each and everything…
is happy with her family….
but honestly, it could’ve been done with the husband present in her life as well….his death served no purpose except the fact that u punished him for cheating on her, with death…cz even the writer knew that he did something in the heat of the moment and there were such big things which everyone hid from him, and when he knew about them, he actually tried to help his wife and punish the culprits, he was ashamed of what he did and he could’ve been redeemed, but they just finished him off, for GOD knows what reason….and the drama went down the hill from the moment on……
Hahahahahha,, what a alame drama… boring n crazy ending ,,,,
not saying that Tae oh isn’t talented, but I felt bad for this man, he remained loyal to the company and every CEO there was even during the downfall of Dereve, and its true that the company survived till now because of him….I wanted him to be the CEO, and I in fact was sure that Jae won would leave the position to him…..
Hmmm, the kidnapping was a bit of a stretch….who would not be on time to pick up their small child, who has been away for a very long time, from the airport. Plus, would an airline person who is responsible for said child really just hand her over to the first adult that the child knows.
I know it is fiction etc., but her husband not being dead would have been more believable in my humble opinion.
how and when on earth did she become a gud girl that she met Ah rin, spent a great time with her and then just so carefully, safely and responsibly dropped her home??? like, what just happened???? and if she was gonna do that, what was the point of making her a kidnapper who just took a little girl from the airport without her parent’s consent and the whole police force looking for her???
and then she just died??? just like that??? sorry, she didn’t deserve to die, that was too easy, and I won’t even call it a punishment, cz she didn’t suffer at all, the way she made everyone’s life a living hell, she just so nicely died at the end, and in fact, people would pity her, that ohhh poor girl got into an accident and someone just ran over her….like, what was the point of showing her committing crimes left and right for 15 episodes if she was just gonna die in an instant in the end???? utterly disappointing!!!
By the way, wasn’t at certain point a story about the twin brother of her husband? Who was that man? Was actually her husband playing around?
I wanted Yun Jin to spend her whole life in prison but she got the easiest way out. Disappointed… the ending isn’t what I expected. I’ll rate it 5/10
Unnecessary last episode. This drama died together with the death of HSY. Worst decision ever. How could you waste such talent. It’s like the writers have used up all their braincells in the middle of writing.
so disappointingly mediocre
Though I enjoyed watching the initial episodes, this became Meh after a while…
At some point, the drama started going downhill and unfortunately stayed that way till the end for me. There were a lot of loose ends and loop holes that were just too big to look past.
Except for that one time Jaewon’s husband went and punched her R*pist, there is no mention of him or any consequence for what he’d done??
And after plotting for several years, killing people ruthlessly, kinda kidnapping Jaewon’s daughter the day of, Yunjin died just like that?? Just cuz it was the finale and they were short on time. SMH?
Despite having good actors, the direction fell short.
I loved everything in this drama: the cast, the acting, the healing aspect of the story, the soothing dialogues, the chemistry between the actors, the child actress and the happy
ending.
It showed the importance of self-acceptance and self-love which is only possible through a
deep inner healing and being surrounded by precious loving family and friends.
I hope Jang Na Ra get the Daesang prize for portraying such a psychologically complex character!
I do not remember seeing Son Ho Jun as male lead after Go Back Couple. I had hopes here since he was pairing with Jang Nara again. I skipped the S2 of first responders because I got to know about his fate there. But sadly he doesn’t have any different fate here! I was hoping for his return with the twins plot.
