  1. The the Crown Prince and Third Prince Jing are half brothers. Prince Jing’s mother aas higher ranked than the Crown Prince’s mother. She seemed to be the Emperor’s favorite. Looks like the CP may have had a hand in her death. What happened to the Crown Prince’s mother? Did Jing’s mother have a hand in her fate? Does third prince mean that there is a second prince or it is jut how they are ranked in order by child and not gender?

  3. So good!! I am hooked… i love me a strong female lead and this actress had not disappointed me yet!! Love her choices on revenge dramas where she is smart and brilliant in her own right.

    A bit annoyed I gave in and watched this so early into the release, ngl. Now I am back in the wait train 😩

  4. I loves my triangles but in this case, it kinda seems unfitting. On one hand I appreciate Mei Lin being a chosen assassin, but I hate seeing a FL tortured. Hope it doesn’t continue on regularly.

  7. Another important truth has been revealed! They are quick with it; I’ll give them that. Fingers crossed things continue at this pace and don’t drag on. Heres to hoping he doesn’t make her suffer in there for too long before she is released.

    I cannot wait till she finds out he is the mastermind of the shadow works. Liu Xue Yi as always does such a good job of portraying his characters 🫶🏾. The icing on the cake being the fact that he looks good as heck.

  8. So she is expected to be executed for trying to assassinate Prince Jing. How does it help him? Did the Crown Prince know that his brother favored Mei Lin and the oneupmanship rivalry cause him to chose her? What will happen between Prince Yue Qin and Mei Lin?

  9. Solid opening episodes! There’s something intriguing about how all the characters are fully aware of each other’s secrets. It creates an eerie tension, like we’re peeking through a keyhole into a web of hidden agendas. I can’t wait to see how these tangled connections unravel!
    And that cliffhanger? So good! In one of the trailers, we see the MJ carrying the ML out, and I can’t wait to see how she’s saved! It’s going to be a wild ride!
    I was convinced Princess Xiyan was destined to marry the Crown Prince, not the Emperor! Honestly, he doesn’t deserve her—she’s too precious for someone like him! It’s such a twist that amps up the drama, but I really feel for her.
    And of course, everyone knows the Crown Prince is the real culprit except the Emperor, who’s as blind as ever to palace politics. We will also at some point in time discover that the Emperor himself might have sown the seeds of discord between the brothers, even if they’re not from the same mother.
    Both actors playing the main characters are absolutely phenomenal—they’ve truly brought these roles to life! I can already tell it’s only going to get better, even if we’ll have a few frustrating episodes that will make us want to pull our hair out.
