City of Stars (2024) Episode 1
? Love it! This finale episode is the most satisfying one to enjoy out of most bl series. I get to enjoy seeing the main couple living happily after their reunion. Also, I like how they overcame the last obstacle together. United, they managed to establish a Zendaya branch in Thailand so they would not have to be apart from each other.
? I was deeply moved by their genuine tearful heartfelt reunion. I could actually feel that Fueang really missed and needed Krom.
I am happy that everyone finds his own happiness. ? Namson is naturally best as the emcee.
? I have to scan the attendees for those evil reporters with negative energy and am glad that they are not there.
Though the side bl couple did not have much screen time, at least they were not swept under the rug. I’m happy to see their inclusion in this finale showing their positive outcome.
Lets not forget the best supporting character and the crucial role of Kor, Kimmon. ?
The most unconventional romantic ending scene ever…? Krom caught off guard with a mouth full of dried fish sprinkled watermelon as Fueang popped the proposal. ?
Happy Ending. ?

Loved this series from start to finish. Good story for both couples and thank goodness they both got and actual ending… and a sweet one to boot.
It’s rare that you get to think about real time issues during a series and a BL series at that but this gave us a little to think about in terms of fandom and how ridiculously unfair it can get sometimes. I’m good for calling it out when I read it… we all love a bit of fantasy, but we just need to stay in the real world not the one some people conjure up.?
Double proposals ?❤️
Legit one of Kimmons best roles
This drama was a pleasant delight in its entirety! From watching it, to the message it convey, to the out of the norm standards it was setting. It has definitely made it to my top 5 BL for this year and could be in my top 10 in general.
I don’t know about you, but some how I found a sense of giddiness and pleasantry knowing that this is a drama few people are knowledgeable about as it airs… It feels almost like it is one of the few privileges that I get to enjoy with a selective group of people. Made me feel like an “elite”, like part of the 1% in the BL dramaland…
It is truly underrated… And while I truly do want others, who have yet to discover this gem, to watch it and be marveled… I still have a certain sense of preservation to gatekeep this one just for those of us that watched it as it aired… Yes, a conundrum…a juxtaposition if you would… Almost to the point of me being a hypocrite…
But that is how much in love and respect I have for this drama… If you love something so much, you would rather be possessive of it to the point of no one seeing or touching it for various reasons… BUT at the same time, you want to brag, boast and show it off due to how impressive and magnificent it is….That is the exact feeling I am having at this moment…
Knowing me…I definitely would re-watch it like three or so times before the year end. LOL.
Second hand embarrassment ???️ Why did Krom have to tell his friends about the “proposal” and he almost went up the stage? ?? I thought he would have known that Fueang was not the type who would like to showcase his ? in front of an audience.
Anyway, great that Fueang could be more frank with his reply in his interview. I was always amazed by his replies during interviews and wondered why Kor told him that it was the best interview when it sounded too “frank” and then I realise that Fueang had always been giving the political right answer during his interviews charming everyone, but in this interview, he was being himself, telling everyone what he actually felt in his usual calm and polite manner ?
SPOILER… This was a mostlyhappy and fluffy finale and I loved it ? This whole series was “POSITIVE ENERGY” even in adversity and positive final messages to the BL masses out there? I absolutely loved that these characters were mostly solution-oriented to their problems rather than dwelling on them for too long with defeat and regret guiding their future decisions?
Krom and Fueang had the rare healthy BL relationship onscreen from start to finish? I loved that this series tackled some stereotypes, hypocrisy and other bs within their own industry. Most of the side characters were also likeable or had a real purpose. Most helped highlight our MLs situation and helped elevate their relationship. I hope to see these actors again in other projects. I’m going to miss them. This series really did sneak up on me and grew on me as we went along. I still feel this series is underrated. I legit still have a warm smile on my face after this finale? Congrats to the cast and crew❣️
Btw I loved the ring twist and Kor and Fueang’s characters and friendship?? And the fact that Krom wasn’t p*ssed or sulked, even tho he was looking forward to being asked to ? and was just happy to be with his man, only to have a double twist and be asked anyways?? I was happy they didn’t do both proposals in front of everyone that would have been super cheesy and tacky even for me, lol? And, can you imagine the second-hand embarrassment if one of them had been rejected in front of everyone?! ??
Side note: , My man, Fueang got a whole plate of just for you, lol?️??
P.S. My takeaway from this series, is that life may be tough at times, we shouldn’t stop trying to find solutions to those problems. And… , lol! Say CHEEESE!??
Anyways, there will be sacrifices to make but our overall happiness and well-being shouldn’t be one in the end? It’s how we deal with those challenges that count….
Some countries still have a long way to go when it comes to the full acceptance of the LGBT+ community but it’s a series like this and storylines like this that help spotlight the community in a positive light?
