  1. I enjoyed the first half that I almost forgot the tragedy that would happen in the second. I understand why Pop got mad seeing as his once healing wounds have been reopened. I know that this has that Thai touch to it so it’s somewhat different from the og addicted, but if you put the comparison aside (which I know is hard to do) it’s actually kinda nice.

  2. It’s not THAT bad. They are sticking to the story which I like. Maybe we’ll get the whole story in 12eps. The story is the same but somehow it doesn’t “feel” like addicted to me🫤
I already prepared myself that it’s gonna have the thai hint and oh boy it’s HEAVILY THAI CODED 🫥 Every time Thailand makes a remake, I feel like the production is telling us “since y’all already know the story, here is a high-budget, dumb silly lil version of it”🫠🫠

The thing is that IT’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE CUTE AND SILLY, IT’S SUPPOSED BE CONTROVERSIAL! The forbidden love of two stepbrothers is supposed to make you feel uncomfortable and *despite* that happy for them (questioning societal rules and your own morality). There must hardly be any person in the our BL world who doesn’t know Addicted. It made history, both in terms of concept of the series and reaching the mainstream audience of China, ultimately getting banned before the finale. And to remake such a huge name in the industry should not have been taken as a joke imo😞

The actors are actually looking highschool students here(they are cute and hero is hot🌚) don’t have a problem with how to look, it’s how they act. OGs were students but also were mature for their age, especially Luo Yin(pop). The way he spoke to his elders, even the stepdad, and handling the bully version of Gu Hai(hero) with his calmness, he always had this well collected aura. Never thought himself as a victim, worked hard and chose to rise above. And we see how agressive Gu Hai(hero) was and how slowly and, mostly importantly, ✨SUBTLY✨ he started liking and admiring Luo Yin(pop) and hence becoming soft like him. Even tho we knew they were endgame, they barely spoke about it and hence, kept the audience guessing. In this version, they both are agressive and immature yet cute and fluffy? It’s very obvious that they are falling with those ‘thai-stares’ and over explanation.

I loveeeeeee how they are giving importance to the side couple🥳 They NEED their fair share of story time and I’m here for it!!!💃🏻

Overall, it’s not bad and I’ll definitely watch it.
I just proof read my own comment and sounded like a karen😭😭Maybe I’m being too critical but I’m just disappointed that the REAL ESSENCE of Addicted is something that can never be recreated😔🥺❤️‍🩹

P.S. I didn’t compare it with any other similar series except the original.

  3. The first half of this episode was all fluffy. Then the second half was what we expected, the fallout. Not complaining, it’s kinda happening fast. We are 1/3 into the series and already the parents ran into each other. That unexpected meeting caused the boys to realize what they feared happened. After all, Hero ran away from home to avoid meeting his stepmom’s son, and it turned out Pop is that son. Also, Pop resented the man who married his mom, and it turned out to be Hero’s father. I could understand that Pop’s bitter.

Pop’s wonderful dad shed light on him about the affairs of adults, and that made Pop understand his parents’ breakup was amicable. To me, it’s like his dad has turned into a different person in that conversation. Idk whether he has always been like that or he has transformed after changing his work from a laborer to a desk job. I mean before, dad was different. He was humbled when he found out that his son works in the convenience store.

This Thai version…they created Hero with his testosterone level (uh hmmm) Well, you know. 😅 And I love that the boys getting along well. This scuffle is too cute. It’s naturally spontaneous. None of that accidental grasp which usually ends with their faces staring at each other.

Only and Kitty are getting cuter and cuter. 🫰 Need more of them on screen. It was funny seeing that sign in English. It was intended for international fans, right? 😆

Wow! Released with English subbed on time 👍. Unlike last week, it was released on time (Tuesday night) but took 2 days to have English subbed.

In the other series with same plot like this, there were many comments that “that” version was better than “this” if compared to the original and to the other/remake series… For me, I like them ALL, these two series, Thai and Taiwan’s version, the original, although unfinished or some episodes were not released , the remake (waiting for season 2, if one of the leads was able to survive the accident… Hoping that it will give a happy ending unlike the original…

#HeroPop… revealed! Hmmm….next episode looks liked they will become much closer ❤️

    #OnlyTiger previously #KingBurger…
    Hero’s friend, Panther, is handsome!
